Membership Subs

MEMBERS THIS INFORMATION WAS SENT OUT BY EMAIL. IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE IT YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO UPDATE MY RECORDS. THANK YOU.

Dear Members,
The time has come again to ask you for your membership subscriptions. But before I do I want to let
you know how busy the Club will be again this year.
The programme is full and varied to give you a flavour I have summarised it below and I can hardly believe it myself.

70 plus days of opportunities to join in Club activities.
Free Sailing - 18 sessions on Wednesday Evening
Entertainment - Quiz night, Coffee Morning, Final Fling, Laying up Supper (Burns Supper 2012 ?)
Fun on the water - Easter Egg Race, Family Taster Day, Topper Tournament (Sink the fleet? fun for those watching certainly)
Coaching and Training - 8 days 6 for Juniors and 2 for coaches
Dingy Races - 21 + Gunn Trophy
Yacht Races - 5 + The Kishorn Cup, The Round Crowlin
Sail-a-way weekends - 3
Regatta Weekend
PLUS
In association with the Ocean Youth Trust and Dave Murray - An opportunity of a lifetime!

Thats not all there will be hosted weekends in LSC for juniors through LSC an HMS, our juniors
also travel away for weekend coaching to various other clubs. For the committee there are in addition around 10 committee meetings a year.

I think you will agree that the committee and coaches GIVE us as much of their time as they can (without living in the Club over the season), if you would like to be more involved even on a one off basis, just jump in, helpers are always welcome!

Parents - the committee would like to see more young sailors taking part in the racing, which is an excellent way to improve sailing skills, please encourage them to come along.

Now to business, as you can see there is a lot on and this costs!
a Fuel prices I dont need to say anymore!!, electricity, insurance etc.
b Showers, hot drinks, biccys are provided free before, during and after every event. Plus after some of the events there is more than just a biccy provided free!
c This year we are hoping to replace our Red Rib, George is busy writing grant applications, but we will have to Fundraise and use some of the clubs reserves.
d Replacing, renewing gear, chandlery etc etc etc 17 club boats to maintain, we dont charge for boat use as most clubs do.

This is turning into a marathon letter, sorry. Now to membership fees, the AGM set the fees this year as follows:
Individual Adult £50
Individual Junior £25
Family £80 (2 adults + children under 18 on the 1st of Jan)
Associate (Non sailing) £15

Payments as soon as possible please to
